The owner of Ashcroft airfield at Wettenhall has kindly granted us the use of a runway
and some of the facilities at his field. He has also provided us with a parking area,
pits area and storage space. This has the potential to be an excellent flying site,
although it must be borne in mind that it is an active airfield handling full size
(albeit light) aircraft. It is therefore essential that full size aircraft movements
must always take precedence over model flying. Members may not fly any model until
they have been briefed on the correct procedures and no-fly zones associated with
the use of the field. At the time of writing the car park and pits areas are somewhat
basic, but we hope to improve these before the summer.

The owner of the field has kindly agreed to allow us the use of the airfield clubhouse.
This offers the use of tea and coffee making facilities as well as a small selection
of snacks and chocolate bars available to purchase under an “honesty box” system.
Toilet facilities are also available. For more about the site you are recommended
