The Airstrip from the Devil's Ashpit road
This picture was taken just a few weeks after a period of exceptional rainfall. the straw-coloured areas are just that, patches of dead grass which had grown and seeded in a very short space of time. those seeds may lay dormant for ten years or more before the next heavy rain.
